- The colourful shirt at the upper left was one Switz liked because of the Native patterns, and he wore it often...he would rinse it out at night and hang it to dry, so that he could wear it fresh the next morning. He took more care of his clothes than he did of his body...he would sleep on air mattresses, cots, floors...anywhere, to save hotel room money to buy more records, and all he asked was something to cover his shoulders at night (and a mirror to check his hair the next morning!)
- Just below that is his degree from Dalhousie...I was shocked to find out early in 1970 that he had a teaching degree (B.Ed.), but it didn't take him long to realize that he couldn't handle insolent little brats who didn't want to learn, and he never taught again (that I know of).
- Aside from the photos of his youth, which I don't know about (as I met him in the summer of 1969), the outstanding feature of this photo is the large TAZ on his jean jacket. He loved Disney's cartoon Taz creation, enough to name his store after it, but he had to beg people to stop sending him Taz memorabilia for the store! When he was in a good mood, he would have those sparkly eyes, and repeatedly pointing to his mouth, would loudly grunt "Uh! Uh! Uh!", which made it obvious to all that he was hungry. Other times, he would point to just about anything, and in his Taz voice, would innocently ask, "Good to eat?"
